Since no players currently on the men&#8217;s nor women&#8217;s soccer roster wear No. 44, the jersey needed to be created using the personalization tool.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"newsletter_signup \">\n<figure class=\"embed embed--type-newsletter-widget embed--float-none embed--size-large embed--type-iframe\" data-ads=\"{\" wordcount=\"\">\n<\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>&#8220;None of the parties involved saw any proximity to Nazi symbolism in the development process of the jersey design,&#8221; the federation said on X. The jerseys will be worn by the team for the 2024 UEFA European championship, which will take place in Germany.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The controversy around the Adidas jerseys comes as Nike will become <a href=\"https:\/\/markets.cbsnews.com\/Nike-deal-ends-German-soccers-long-standing-relationship-with-Adidas\/502f82ea7cc73591\/324977\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Germany&#8217;s official shirt supplier,<\/a> beginning in 2027.
