The charming UK village was home to the Bront\u00eb sisters (Image: Getty)<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n If you’re planning to go and see the new Wuthering Heights film<\/a> this weekend, starring Margot Robbie<\/a> and Jacob Elordi, then you may want to visit the place where it all began.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n For lovers of Wuthering Heights, a trip<\/a> to one Yorkshire<\/a> village feels like tracing the novel back to its source. Haworth was the home to the author of the original Wuthering Heights novel, Emily Bront\u00eb, for most of her life, and still carries the atmosphere that shaped one of English literature\u2019s most haunting stories.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Today, the village one of the most famous literary destinations in the UK because of its strong connection to the Bront\u00eb family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Emily Bront\u00eb lived in Haworth for most of her life. In 1820, her father, Patrick Bront\u00eb, became the vicar of Haworth, and the family moved into the village parsonage.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Emily lived there with her sisters; Charlotte Bront\u00eb (author of Jane Eyre) and Anne Bront\u00eb (author of The Tenant of Wildfell Hall). Behind the parsonage stretch the wild, windswept Haworth Moors, known for their open landscapes, harsh weather, isolated atmosphere and dramatic beauty \u2013 with it directly inspiring the setting of Wuthering Heights.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Although the house in the novel is fictional, many believe it was inspired by local farmhouses such as Top Withens, a remote building on the moors often linked to the Earnshaw home.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Yorkshire influencer Fi, known as @yorkshirefi_<\/a> on Instagram<\/a>, recently took to the app to promote the Haworth area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She shared a post with stunning photos from the village, as overlay text read: “Excited by Wuthering Heights? How to spend a day in Haworth \u2013 the home of the Bront\u00ebs.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Fi first recommended ‘arriving in style’ to Haworth on the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley railway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n She then suggested a visit to the Bront\u00eb Parsonage Museum to see where they lived and wrote their novels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n After this, a walk to the Bront\u00eb waterfall was recommended, as it’s “known to have been appreciated by the Bront\u00eb sisters”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Those who don’t fancy a walk were urged to head to Cobbles and Clay for pottery painting instead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Visitors were also advised to explore the many local independent shops and enjoy some local restaurants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Fans were loving the post, as one person exclaimed: “Loved every minute spent here, Haworth is wonderful!”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While another agreed: “We love a day out in Haworth.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n A third chimed in: “Love it there!
