She claimed that these books \u201care absolutely worth the hype,\u201d saying \u201cit is impossible not to fly through them\u201d.<\/p>\n
Not wanting to miss an opportunity to promote her own release, Cassie said this book wasn\u2019t released this year, adding: \u201cBut everyone is reading it anyway\u201d. She described it as an \u201cemotional rollercoaster of a book\u201d where two women\u2019s lives are changed forever \u201cthanks to a tragedy that happened 40 years earlier\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

2. The Sirens by Emilia Hart<\/h3>\n
Cassie said that this is the \u201cmost anticipated second book from the author of Weyward.\u201d She said that she had \u201csuch high hopes for this one, and it did not disappoint\u201d.<\/p>\n
She explained: \u201cIt\u2019s a story of two sisters in Australia, and one of them goes mysteriously missing in the tiny coastal town that she\u2019s moved to. And as the other sister searches for her, she uncovers some very disturbing things about the town and people that have disappeared over the years in it and how all of the mysterious goings on date back hundreds of years.\u201d<\/p>\n
3. The Favourites by Layne Fargo<\/h3>\n
Cassie described this book as \u201cso addictive and fast-paced\u201d – she managed to read it in just two days. \u201cIt\u2019s the story of Heath and Kat, a couple of childhood sweethearts, who fight their way to the top of the ice dancing world to escape their dark pasts,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
Cassie continued: \u201cThey eventually become world champions, and then everything unravels as their pasts come back to haunt them. There\u2019s betrayals, there\u2019s drama, there\u2019s secrets, there is everything in this book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

4. The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan<\/h3>\n
\u201cIf you loved Evelyn Hugo, you will love this book,\u201d Cassie promised. Cate Kay is a \u201cworld famous author, but no one knows who she really is\u201d because her real identity is a secret, and \u201cnobody knows why\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWho is the real Cate Kay? Who is the woman behind the books and what is she hiding from?\u201d Cassie said that \u201ceverybody will fly through\u201d this book because it\u2019s so good.<\/p>\n
5. The Lamb by Lucy Rose\u00a0<\/h3>\n
Cassie said: \u201cThis is the story of a young girl who lives deep in the Cumbrian woods with her mother. In fact, they live so deep in the woods that the only visitors they ever get to their small cottage are people who\u2019ve lost their way on the hiking trails around them.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery time they get a knock on the door from one of these lost souls, they invite them in, and they eat them. Yep. Cannibals. This is the first literary horror-type book that I\u2019ve ever read, and whilst it was super gory and gruesome, I absolutely loved it. It was the biggest surprise of the year for me by far\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
